If I were a superheroine, I would be:  Penelope, Princess of Pets.

My favorite body part:  The brain.

The food I could eat every day: Beets (I've tried!).

One thing I never want to do again: Crabwalk down the side of Huangshan (Yellow Mountain) in China.

If I could be totally wild, I would: Dye my hair fire engine red.

Right now I’m reading:Them by Francine du Plessix Gray.

If I could do it all over again:  I'd be a marine biologist or an entomologist.

The most important thing I ever lost: The black pearl I pulled from an oyster at the 1986 Vancouver Expo (stolen).

The best thing I ever won: A traditional puppet in Taiwan.

I’d like to learn to: Play the ukelele.

My family: Husband Michael, schnauzer Daphne, and cats Roxy and Gert.
