Sure wish I could be there. Jeff Sumerel’s film To My Great Chagrin is playing as part of the Indie Grits Film Festival tonight. It tells the story of Brother Theodore. I found a clip from the film on Sumerel’s website and it’s fantastic.
Maybe I’ve seen Brother Theodore on Letterman or the old Billy Crystal show. I’m not sure. I googled him to find out more about his stand-up tragedy routines and his amazing life.
If you do see the film, let me know what you think of it.
If you don’t, there’s still lots to see at Indie Grits Thursday and through the weekend. The full schedule is here--quite an array, really.
