Women plus abundant food and wine for a good cause equals Wine Goddess night at Gervais & Vine. Thanks to my friend Susan Murphy, I finally checked it out.
Women filled the restaurant inside and out, sporting Wine Goddess t-shirts (which you are required to buy the first time you go, required to wear to get in).
Benefiting from tonight’s event is Epworth Children’s Home. Wine Goddess creator Kristian Niemi gives proceeds to a different charity each time.
I go to quite a few charity events, but I have to say I’ve never seen women enjoying themselves any more than they were at this. Kristian seems to have fun too and even serenades his guests with a wine goddess song he’s written.
The event offers lots of door prizes (that’s Susan, at right, holding a bottle of wine she won) and the crowning of the Spring Wine Goddess 2008 (also chosen by random drawing…making the Wine Goddess honor a thousand times better than being prom queen.)
