We get to vote next week in a primary. I’m sure smarter people have a handle on this, but I find it hard to know who is running for what and which people I get to vote for.
For a list of all candidates, you can look here.
To find your state and congressional representatives and districts, you can enter your zip code here. You’ll need your nine digit zip code. (I found mine on a phone bill.)
Tomorrow night (Thursday, June 5), you can put your questions to the candidates at the Delta Life Development Center, 5307 Fairfield Road in North Columbia. You can email your questions to capaauw@aol.com or submit them between 6pm and 6:30pm at the event. The forum begins at 6:30pm.
Candidates in contested races for SC House seats 41, 70, 73 and 77 and SC Senate seats 17, 19, 21, and 23 have been invited to participate.

PS: You may remember Leacy Burke from our Girl Power page this past October. Today in The State, they’re calling her “the candidate of the future.” Read it here.
Last summer in Washington, she was elected vice president of Girls Nation.
She’s graduating from Richland Northeast today.
